UNIPORT Suspends All School Activities, Declares 7-day Mourning Period For Murdered Student


The management of University of Port Harcourt, Choba, Rivers State, yesterday condemned the gruesome killing of its students by irate mob at Omokere-Aluu community last Friday. The school has declared a seven-day mourning, suspending all school activities including its students’ union week which would have

commenced yesterday. Speaking to newsmen at the main campus of the institution, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Joseph Ajienka, flanked by other principal officers, described the killing of the students as a horrendous crime, stressing that the university is totally against such act of jungle justice.
